Cartus Pulse Survey Report Biggest Relocation Challenges
What keeps relocation managers up at night? During a turbulent period that included a real estate recession, the European financial crisis, and the "Arab Spring," among others, people with corporate relocation and global mobility responsibilities had a lot to worry about. Our Biggest Relocation Challenges pulse survey pointed to a number of key concerns among managers of international mobility programs. Among them: a keen focus on costs, changing employee expectations caused by demographics and "entitlement," and an awareness of the critical importance of talent management as companies look to the future. For the full article Bucharest 2013 24th to 26th April 2013 We are really looking forward to welcoming delegates to Bucharest. The conference will take place in the impressive InterContinental Hotel, in the very centre of the city and just 2 blocks from the city's famous old town, Lipscani. This vibrant area has undergone extensive restoration and is one of the finest examples of secession architecture anywhere in Europe. Now home to numerous bars, restaurants and art galleries, this area is well worth exploring. Bucharest is a surprising city and you will be glad to hear, far enough south to have the same climate as Rome! Bookings will be online from September and if you are interested in sponsorships please contact us for details.

| This edition is sponsored by RSB Deutschland Proud holders of the EuRA Quality Seal "Celebrating 22 Years of Success in 2012" Inaugural EuRA Award for Exceptional Services to Relocation Given to Helmut Berg
At our 15th annual Gala Dinner, this year held in the amazing surrounds of the Vasa Museum, Scandinavia’s most visited attraction, the very first EuRA “Award for Exceptional Services to Relocation“ was presented to Helmut Berg. We have talked within the council for many years about how EuRA can recognise the exceptional contribution made to our industry by an individual. We talked about the idea of an awards ceremony but as we are happy to support the Relocate awards, we decided that the best way to go, was for the Council, at their discretion, to select a recipient for recognition by EuRA and this year was the inaugural occasion. This will not be an annual event, but will be given as and when the council feel that an individual deserves special acknowledgement. Tiger Moms, Bébé & Warm Eskimos Dr. Anne Copeland
Anne Copeland is a licensed psychologist with expertise in cultural transition and clinical psychology. Prior to founding The Interchange Institute in 1997, Dr. Copeland was Associate Professor of Psychology at Boston University. Affiliate Member Focus Furniture Leasing Corporation With growing success in the USA, the concept of renting (or hiring) furniture is starting to take root here in Germany. More and more foreigners who have moved here are renting furniture instead of buying it or looking for fully furnished apartments. Finding an affordable, furnished apartment in major German cities is like finding a needle in a haystack the size of the Cologne Cathedral. This may be a cliché, but it’s surprisingly close to the truth. And this is true for most expat destinations such as Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Berlin and Düsseldorf.
