Message from the President - Alex Ellis - Relocation Enterprises
I am honoured that I have been elected to represent EuRA as President of the Association as of June 1 2006.
Having served on the EuRA council for five years, two of which in the role of Vice President, I have seen our association grow tremendously, both in terms of numbers, and in terms of the level of professionalism and presence as a recognised industry body. It is both exciting and encouraging to see this progress, and I am sure that our association is on an upward trend that will only continue into the future.
This year’s conference at Budapest was an overwhelming success; attendance was of a record level and feedback from delegates on both session content and standard was excellent. Plans for our 2007 conference to be held in Lisbon, Portugal are already well underway, with the venue having been selected, an excellent room rate negotiated, and the programme composition well on the way to being completed.
In my role as President I really want to represent
YOU, the individual members of EuRA. I welcome any feedback or new suggestions that you as members may have. To this end, please feel free to contact me at any time – we as council members are here to implement your ideas in order to best service all members of our Association. For you convenience I can be contacted on:
president@eura-relocation.com I look forward to this term of Presidency with enthusiasm and optimism; I have an excellent Vice President, Margaret Moes, working alongside me who has served on the EuRA council now for 6 years. Margaret can be contacted on
vicepresident@eura-relocation.com Further to this, the council is now of 8, each are dedicated professionals that I admire and respect. Join me in thanking them for their continual support and dedication. The varying personalities and cultural backgrounds of the individual council members, is what makes our Association unique in its variety, flexibility and strength to become an even more powerful voice within our industry.
Change is growth. As Europe grows and each country makes needed changes to keep strengthening their economies, without loosing their national identities, we too in our pan-European association need to follow suit in growing and changing.
I look forward to this year and the change of contributing to our association’s growth.
