The 2001 Conference was held in Dublins' Fair City. We were extremely privilged to be able to use Dublin Castle as our venue. The conference facilities were second to none, and its central location allowed delegates to explore the vibrant area of Temple Bar.
Our keynote speaker was John O'Shea, the founder and chairman of Goal, an Irish charity founded to provide education and support in some of the most underprivileged areas on Earth. The audience were visibly moved as John described his transition from being one of Irelands' premier footballers, to becoming an important figure in world poverty relief.
The formal dinner was held in the Great Hall of Trinity College and was an evening to remember.
As in all years, EuRA is indebted to the assistance we received in our host country, and Dublin was no exception, where Francine O'Byrne of the Relocation Bureau worked tirelessly to make sure the event was seamless.
