A Historic Meeting; Creating Progress
Helmut Berg

On the 25th September a meeting was held in the New Cavendish Club in London. For the second year running, EuRA invited a representative from each of the European RMC’s. The purpose was to keep them informed about the current activities of EuRA with regards to our ongoing quality management projects and how we can make these initiatives more visible to both members and clients. This was a historic meeting: 13 representatives from 13 RMCs took up the invitation and made the meeting a success in itself.

4 Hours in Palma
Dominic Tidey

Palma is a city best explored on foot. The central area, incorporating the ancient and modern city of Palma, is easily explored in half a day. Start your tour with a coffee looking over the magnificent view of the bay of Palma from the terrace café of Es Baluard, the Museum of Contemporary and Modern Art of Palma. This 21st century gallery is built inside the Renaissance walls of the ancient city and incorporates the restored remains of the 11th century Moorish tower. Mallorca is a very design conscious island, and Es Baluard exemplifies how important art and design are to the Mallorquin.  For the full article,

Member Focus
Regina Karner, irema Germany

"It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to tell you a bit about the history of irema.  Back in the early 1990s, a friend told me about her new job duties as a relocation consultant and my first thought was: "This job has my name written all over it!" I had the perfect background: I had moved 21 different times myself, I studied law with a concentration in tenancy law and immigration law, I had many years of experience in property management and overseeing construction projects and I knew the city inside and out thanks to my student job as a taxi driver. It took two more years for me to give up what I was doing at the time and, in 1996, I became the head of the Berlin office for a relocation service based in Frankfurt. So, pretty much everything about this job, particularly working with international employees, is enjoyment pure and simple and doesn't feel like work at all."
