Our Lisbon conference was a great success, and it was our pleasure to welcome nearly 450 people to Portugal’s beautiful capital. The event began with our largest exhibition ever on Wednesday 18th, with a free evening for delegates to enjoy the city. Thursday was our EARP training day, and two excellent Level Two sessions were delivered on Doing Business Globally and The Art of Networking. These sessions were very well received and my colleague on the council and the EuRA Training Liaison, Ileana Clapham, has written a report in this edition of The EuRApean. Click here.
Thursday night was our Gala Dinner, following cocktails in the garden of The Marriott. We had almost perfect weather for our event – sunshine and warmth until the conference day itself, when it rained, keeping everyone together to enjoy the conference sessions! Our Gala Dinner was a terrific event, with beautifully executed cuisine.
Our conference sessions were very well received. For copies of the presentations in PDF format, please email us. These are available to conference delegates only.
Our opening and closing speakers were truly excellent. Deborah Heifitz Yahav gave a moving and inspirational address on her experiences working on peace keeping teams as an advisor on non-verbal communications. Our Keynote Speaker, Frances Edmonds, had us all in tears of laughter but also looking closely at what we do and how we can judge success.
Our closing Princes & Paupers Party was one of the best after conference events that we have ever staged. The true spirit of Portuguese hospitality was shown to us at the Pateo D’Alfacniha, a preserved village in Lisbon’s old quarter.
Thanks go to all of our sponsors and speakers, who helped make this years conference such a success, but most importantly of all, we thank all of our delegates. It is a privilege to work for you and to be part of such an inspiring group.
See you in Frankfurt….. and then in Rome!
