Dear Fellow EuRA Members,
I am delighted to have been re-elected to serve a further term on the EuRA Council – thank you.
With the election of the new council there followed some reorganisation and I am honoured to assume the role of PR Liaison Officer, this is a new position created in response to the Association’s need for press coverage and general recognition. I was also asked to act as the 'voice of EuRA’.
Although PR can be expensive, it can be used to great effect by the simplest of silent actions and often at virtually no cost. Such actions are often more powerful than the most expensive advertising campaigns or marketing initiatives and in terms of EuRA, one of these silent actions could be that all EuRA Members display the EuRA logo prominently on their websites. I would like your help to make this my first goal as PR Liaison Officer. If you do not have a copy of the logo all you need to do is email the EuRA office at enquiries@eura-relocation.com and ask for it.
My second goal - and once again I need your help - is that all members should include a brief identical paragraph on the websites acknowledging their membership of EuRA. This should be both in English and your local language. This will be a strong and powerful message to all those interested in the services of our industry. It is a tiny element technically speaking but a but a huge element of our alliance.
In my opinion displaying the logo and acknowledging your membership of EuRA on your website should be mandatory for all members. However, as it is not (at this moment) I can only appeal to you all.
So this is my appeal. Please help to make EuRA better known by making your website (even) more attractive. You want a strong EuRA, but EuRA can only be strong if you support it.
And this is the text – please translate into your language as well.
"[Company name of member] is a member of EuRA (European Relocation Association, established in 1998) and is bound by their ethics and rules of conduct. The stated aim of EuRA is to spread knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding employee mobility. Further, EuRA enhances industry performance standards by communication and education.
EuRA is co-founder and promoter of the EARP (European Academy of Relocation Professionals).”
Let us try to achieve this by mid September. Thank you for your understanding and your loyal cooperation.
Best regards, Helmut
