Prague 2000

The EuRA millenium Conference was held in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. The city is famed for its outstanding classical archtecture, but EuRA delegates were also treated to a tatse of modernism in the venue for the conference, the Hotel Praha. This extraordinary building, originally designed to host the meetings of the Politburo, was a time capsule of 1960's design and remains one of the cities top hotels, known for its exceptional hospitality and for the part of the history of the Czech Republic it represents.

The Gala Dinner

The formal dinner took the form of a traditional outdoor Czech spit roast, with the chefs cooking on the terrace outside the main dining hall. Delegates had cocktails on the terrace where they were afforded with a great view over the city.

The Party Night

The informal dinner took place on a boat trip down the Vltava River, affording delegates a magnificent view of The Charles Bridge, and a chance to dance to a funky Prague based band. Again, a memorable EuRA conference second night!
