Dear EuRA members:

The first month of 2007 has come and gone, and already this year promises to be the best yet for our association !

Our membership has peaked at an all time high of 261 and looks set on a continually upward trend;  preperations are well underway for this year's EuRA conference to be held in Lisbon, Portugal, April 19th and 20th and the council has many new incentives and ideas to continue to grow and promote awareness of the association not only within Europe but in the worldwide arena of our global industry.

We have to announce that Michelle Bar Pereg , past President of the association ( 2004 & 2005 ) has retired from the council after 6 years of council membership.  We would like to use this occassion to thank Michelle for her contribution to the association and at the same time are pleased to let you know that her expertise and years of industry experience will however not be lost but will be channelled into her role as the newly appointed  "EuRA Business Development Manager." This is a consultancy role directly for our association. You will be hearing more of this in months to come.

As President of the association , my goal this year is to attend as many industry conferences as possible , representing EuRA and establishing our association as  THE authoratitive voice within the Relocation industry for Europe.  What organisation is better qualified than EuRA to train and advise on the way to deliver effective services in this unique and varied niche market of the world called Europe!

As always, the council welcomes suggestions, comments and feedback from individual members. This is YOUR association, so make your voice heard ,
tell the council that represents you what you would like to see the association achieve, and let them know what you would like the asociation to accomplish. Make use of our new Web Blog and please communicate with us: president@eura-relocation.com and vicepresident@eura-relocation.com

2007 will see the election of several new council members - so this opens the possibility for individual members stand for election and for all full members to vote your choice. More on this soon.

I am very positive for EuRA's prospects throughout 2007 and look foward to meeting with you all in April for the best conference yet !
