Please Introduce Yourself...
I’m Sylvia Ehrlich. I was born in Russia and grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I’ve been happily married for 40 years to a native New Yorker; have three wonderful children, a super daughter-in-law and two fabulous grandsons. We’ve lived the past 27 years in New York. I was an accompanying spouse prior to settling down and becoming involved in International Relocation in 1981. I consider myself fortunate to have found a profession that has been personally rewarding--- the people I’ve met, the friends I’ve made and the assignees I’ve been able to help as well.
What was the last good book you read for business?
I don’t have favorites--- I just read what appeals at the time.....
What was the last good book you read for pleasure?
Maya Angelou…“The Heart of the Woman” she reminds us that we all need to forgive ourselves as well as others and take life as it comes from within the heart
How much cash are you carrying right now?
I usually carry very little cash and rely heavily on three basic credit/debit cards (personal and business)---it’s a habit and lifestyle…but, much simpler for travel
Do you have any hobbies?
I used to play tennis; but, have no time for that any more…. I do knit and enjoy walking, hiking and, when I have time cooking/baking..
Do you have a favourite airline?
I like Continental; but, had an amazing trip on Iberia last spring.
What is your ultimate travel dream, money no object?
A sailboat and crew that can take me around the world…
What do you never travel without?
My portable means of communication…

What have you got on your iPod?
I don’t own an iPod….
What car would you love to own?
I have a Volvo and have always enjoyed them… I’ve been driving Volvo and Mercedes for a long time, with my favourite—the Volvo
If you had the choice to take 3 things with you to a dessert island what would these be?
That’s difficult…. My family; some means of communication with the outside world and a good Wok that I can use for cooking and boiling water.
When were you happiest?
I still miss the town where I grew up----Montreal; but, I learned to enjoy every place we lived----each has a unique signature and we’ve made wonderful friends everywhere.
What do you regret?
I don’t think one should regret anything; but, learn and move forward
If you had the choice of anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I enjoy New York very much, I love the energy. and I don’t think I’d change that…

What do you think is your greatest achievement?
I hope my family….
What one thing would improve the quality of your life?
Not having my grandsons (and their parents) on the other side of the continent

Oprah Winfrey---an amazing woman, humanitarian and business person

I continue to dream…..
