Legal Sessions in Goa
Legal compliance issues feature prominently on the agenda at the Global Conference in Goa.
Firstly, a full day is devoted to Legal Compliance and Mobility, based on our new MIM module. The topics covered by the training are:
- Data Protection, with emphasis on the GDPR and the practical compliance steps which relocation businesses should be taking;
- Relocation Contracts, including the terms and conditions contained in contracts with employers, RMCs, suppliers and private customers;
- Legal Risks and Insurance, covering a diverse range of legal issues which impact on our industry, including competition law, bribery, money laundering ….. and human error!
- VAT and personal taxation– a high-level overview of how tax rules affect everything from international assignment policies to how we invoice our clients;
- International business and employment– an insight into some of the legal complications arising from cross-border business operations and the employment of mobile staff.
The training is delivered by Gordon Kerr, EuRA’s Strategic Consultant for Legal Services, and combines lectures, group discussions and videos.
Secondly, we have a 90 minute session on Compliance and the Supply Chain. This session, moderated by Gordon Kerr, features three expert speakers: Nishat Inamdar of Formula Group, Rohit Kumar of IKAN Relocations and Adrian Leach of HCR. The session covers a broad spectrum of compliance issues in the relocation industry, from both Indian and European perspectives, and highlights some humorous aspects of compliance as well as the serious side!
