GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS AND IMPACT ON MOBILITY

Our aim at HELMA International is to keep our employees and our clients safe and informed at all times with data that is correct and coherent. Here’s a quick snapshot of the latest update on steps taken by the Government for prevention of an outbreak, and the impact it has on Global Mobility

Immigration

For those who have not yet traveled to India all visas (valid and new applications) stand suspended till 15th April 

Exceptions to above rule apply to employment and project visas and those holding diplomatic passports and UN employees:

  • For new applicants : at time of application at VFS centres abroad a "no COVID-19" medical certificate from specified laboratories is likely to be required.
  • For valid visa holders who are currently outside of India: it is advised that you check with Indian embassy/consulates whether you can travel back to India or require to re-apply for a visa
  • For dependants of employment visa holders who are currently outside of India and who plan to enter India, they would not be allowed back into India, and must check with Indian embassy/consulate for new updates

OCI holders will not be able to travel visa-free to India till 15th April. If they require to enter India for work, they must apply for an employment visa.

Extensions and renewals of Stay visas and dependant visas will continue as usual at FRROs

Exiting India- all foreign nationals who wish to travel abroad and who are currently registered with FRRO, must check with FRRO whether they can exit and re-enter.

Mandatory quarantine: All incoming travellers including Indian nationals arriving from or having visited China, Italy, Japan, South Korea, France, Spain and Germany after 15th February 2020 will be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days, w.e.f. 13th march 2020

Possible quarantine: All incoming travellers including Indian nationals coming into India (from countries other than those mentioned above) maybe quarantined for a minimum 14 days

    • All schools and colleges closed in Karnataka
    • All schools closed in New Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Maharashtra
    • All primary schools closed in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry
